Accessibility tools

Verify the accessibility of a spreadsheet using the Accessibility Checker

Like other Microsoft Office applications, Excel has a built-in Accessibility Checker tool to help identify potential accessibility concerns.

Steps

To start the Office Accessibility Checker:

  1. Select the Check for Issues button, located in the File tab.
  2. Choose the Check Accessibility option.

Note: The Accessibility Checker tool does not guarantee a fully accessible document or comprehensive usability of the workbook for individual with disabilities. Some documents might present accessibility challenges that need to be addressed manually.
